Who is Bodhi Cat?

Who is Bodhi Cat?

What am I and what I am not…
I am the companion for Juz, he and I occupy this lump of flesh, bone, organs, waste and all the other gungy bits that make up the human being. Juz is his given name and because of that; his ego which is vast and all-encompassing is also know to the universe as Juz, or as egos go I guess it is more like  Juz the conqueror, Juz the lover and Juz the humble !!! But to me Just Juz…
Juz would say he has recently found Buddhism after he had a life changing flash of light and as he has a couple of Buddha statues this surely proves the point   (which I believe is the western proof of finding Buddhism’ that or zen gardens etc..)
The funny thing is contrary to what Juz says I was always there by his side and have been for over 50 years; it wasn’t that he found me in some amazing spiritual flash of light way. I simply woke up, stretched in a way only cats can do and other sentient beings can only dream of, well let’s be honest the practice of yoga really is humans wanting to look more like cats… seriously I mean the downward dog *what on earth “DOG” !! * position is nothing more than a good cat stretch with bum in the air; like we don’t care (which we don’t to be honest, well most some of the time).
Juz like most humans is all ego, very much about the “mine, mine, mine” albeit not in a really nasty kind of way but in a self absorbed kinda way. The seagulls from Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” are the perfect ego character representation for humans.
I do like to think of Juz (ego Juz not mushy gungy flesh bones Juz) that way, he is my seagull pal; a pain, an annoyance, flaps around way to much making a noise, causing mayhem and leaving shit everywhere in his path; but I do love him very much; well I have been around him for more than 50 years so I must do.
SO
I am the Bodhi Cat a sum of everything that is the “middle way” ; things people have said over the years, lessons myself and my Seagull-Juz have learned whilst in this life. Between us we are Juz…

Note from Juz – We all need a inner-companion; we are on the journey of discovery and an inner animal to give you strength and remind you that your on the right path is a must, for me it is my  Bodhi Cat
